Tunisia: Challenges on fundamental rights

Written statement at the 46th Session of the UN Human Rights Council

Ten years after the revolution, the young Tunisian democracy still faces numerous obstacles that prevent its citizens from fully enjoying their human rights. These include threats on the transitional justice process, the persistence of torture and impunity, and a lack of protection against abuses by the security forces.
