OMCT E-bulletin: 55th session of the Committee against Torture - July/August 2015
The World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT) has thepleasure to issue its E-Bulletin on the 55th session of the Committeeagainst Torture which took place from 27 July to 14 August 2015.
During its 55thsession, the Committee against Torture considered the State reports submittedby Irak, Slovakia, Switzerland. In accordance with Article 19 ofthe Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatmentor Punishment, the Committee examined the progress made by the respective Stateparties in giving effect to the Convention and identified problematic areaswhere compliance must be improved.
