Independent experts of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) will meet from 20 October to 7 November 2008 at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva to consider the initial report of Bahrain and periodic reports of Belgium, Cameroon, Canada, Ecuador, El Salvador, Kyrgyzstan, Madagascar, Mongolia, Myanmar/Burma, Portugal, Slovenia and Uruguay.
