Areas of Work
Since 2007, Xumek has been an active non-profit civil society organization working for the protection and promotion of human rights in Argentina. The organisation carries out strategic litigations on issues including extrajudicial killings and torture; one recent example is a successful litigation case that resulted in the imprisonment of six guards for the torture of an 18-year-old detainee.
