Areas of Work
RECODH is a registered network of associations and collectives focused on the promotion and protection of human rights and governance. RECODH operates through sensitization, capacity building, networking, advocacy, and lobbying, offering a platform for mutual support, communication, information sharing, and learning among its members. Additionally, RECODH provides support to individual human rights defenders at risk.
The organization works primarily in three thematic areas: human rights, governance, and social cohesion, developing several programs around these focal points. One notable program is "Réseau pour la Cohésion: FDS, OSC et communautés en synergie pour la sécurité humaine, la prévention des violences basées sur le genre (VBG)," a three-year initiative that adresses social cohesion. This program is implemented in fragile regions such as the East, Adamaoua, North, and Far North, which are affected by insecurity and humanitarian crises. The project focuses on human rights in conflict contexts and fosters dialogue between security forces, civil society organizations (CSOs), and communities on gender-based violence in the context of military responses to insecurity.
