The National Secretary of Social Action was established in 1966 as a humanitarian and advocacy arm of the Catholic Bishops’ Conferences of the Philippines (CBCP). The aim of NASSA is to address poverty alleviation, sustainable agriculture, empowerment of women and children, and ecological protection.
