Afia Mama

Afia Mama (“women's health”) is a non-profit youth-led organisation that was set up in 2012 and is based in Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The organisation works to empower and support girls through education, skills training and the elimination of poverty and harmful traditional practices, as well as to combat sexual abuse and violence, and all forms of gender-based violence in the DRC, including through legal support to victims.
